║the Challenge║

Gain new partnerships

Our challenge was to design a website that showcases the best work produced by the New York Post video team to help gain new partnerships and work with more advertisers.

Goals and Insights

The digital design team and I established the following goals when examining market research and google analytics data:

research insights ➝

Below are insights on our top categories based on user engagement discovered during our research. This guided us into the next phase of brainstorming wireframes and creating a level of content hierarchy that would entice new advertisers.

║ideation║

Wireframes + Mocks

For these designs, we established a new grid allowing us to explore full width videos and fun transitions between content, such as parallax scrolling. Since the site was heavily image based, we wanted to place the most eye-catching content and copy at the top to immediately grab the attention of users and advertisers. Below are a series of low and medium fidelity wireframes that I created.

Final Designs

Below are the final designs created for the NYP Video Media website. With the goal of gaining new partnerships, we utilized our research and created a site dedicated to the best performing media, highlighting stats and providing a clear, pronounced way for advertisers to get in touch with the New York Post Video team.

Deliverables

To prepare for development, I created the dev paddings and exported all necessary assets. These included design mocks, gif animations and svg assets such as logos, arrows and icons.

║takeaways║

Creative freedom and development QA

I truly enjoyed collaborating with the digital design team and developers to create a website that highlighted the New York Post Video Media team’s hard work and expertise in compelling storytelling. With so much creative freedom and an opportunity to design on a new full-width grid, I got to try new things and took a deeper dive in learning how to export necessary assets and create markups for development and QA.
